At last, at last! Apple finally catches up and upgrades their Macbook Pro 15″ and 17″ line with Core i5 and Core i7 Intel chips. Apple also claims to have boosted battery life all the way up to 10 hours from the machines. The graphics cards also got a boost sporting NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 330M graphics. This new line of Pros are very fast and Apple claims to be “50 percent faster than the previous systems”.
This update has been long awaited and if you have followed Apples history you would know that everybody waits until April to buy an Apple computer. My Pro is about 12 months old so I’ll wait till next year to grab mine.

Here is a quick overview of OS 4.0 for the iPhone. There are numberous new features included in the new iPhone operating system, which won’t hit the market for some time yet. “iPhone OS 4 is the fourth major release of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re delivering over 100 new features, including multitasking, folders, a unified inbox, deeper Enterprise support, and an iPhone version of our iBooks reader and online iBookstore.”
1. Multitasking - Finally, the iPhone can multitask. What does this mean? It means the iPHone can now run multiple apps in the background, and also allow apps running the background to still access resources like the internet or network connection. This is been the most awaited development in the iPhone OS since the iPhone came out. Not including multi-tasking has also been described as a major mistake with the launch of the iPad
2. Improved Mail - Apple is improving their built-in mail system. Some of the improvements include a unified mailbox, that allows users to access mail form multiple accounts in one place without having to switch between accounts on their phone. The iPhone will also support exchange accounts, including syncing with google calendars.
3. Bluetooth Keyboard Support - The iPhone now supports the use of an external bluetooth keyboard.

Today Apple officially launched their much anticipated tablet device, the Apple iPad. Apple is describing the iPad as the best way to experience the web, photos, and email. The device features a whole range of new apps from apple designed specificlly for the larger screen and multitouch interface. Today at the Apple Keynote, many of the new apps were showcased. The iPad is going to add a whole new level of gaming to apple devices. A quick overview of the iPad: It is essentially a giant iPod touch. The device is about 9.5″ x 7.5″. It features WiFi technology, and there is an option to upgrade to 3G as well. The WiFi version weighs about 1.5 lbs and the WiFI+3G version will weigh 1.6 lbs. The iPad will come with a 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive. The device starts to retail at $499 US for the 16GB WiFI version, and up to $829 for the 64GB version with WiFi + 3G capabilities. Data plans in the US will start at $15, and be $30 for unlimited data.In terms of new apps, there is something called iBooks.The iBooks app is described by Apple as a great way to read and purchase books.1 Just download the app for free from the App Store, and you’ll be able to buy everything from old classics to new bestsellers from the built-in iBookstore. Once you’ve bought a book, it’s displayed on your Bookshelf. To read it, all you have to do is tap on it and it opens up. The high-resolution, LED-backlit screen displays everything in sharp, rich, color, so it’s very easy to read, even in low light. Apple has also teamed up with the New York Times to offer an enhanced version of their publication, featuring embeded video.
