Silent Scope, a take on the classic “rail shooter”, has been released by Konami. The game essentially involves you saving the President from terrorists by becoming the world’s best sniper. You use a high powered sniper rifle to destroy enemies. The game makes use of the multi-touch user interface for easy game play. There are two modes, arcade and training.

Training mode lets you practice your precision sniper skills while the arcade mode lets you play the full game in story-mode. There are different difficulty levels so you won’t get bored. This is a pretty fun game for only $6.00 in the App Store.

iPhone Hulu AppI guess I should start off with explaining what Hulu is for those of you living under a rock. Hulu is a legal online source for television shows. You can watch full length episodes of the Thee Office, Family Guy, Fring, Saturday Night Live… and much more. The only downside with Hulu is that it is currently only available for people located in the United States… This means that Canadians are out of luck for the time being.

The Hulu app which is apparently in the works would allow iPhone users to have TV shows streamed to their iPhone or iPod Touch over WiFi, as well as over the 3G wireless network for iPhone users. I would guess that this app is still a few months away. It was orginally rumored to come out last year but that never happened and the prospect of the app was completely denied by Hulu. This time around the idea of a Hulu App ist far more realistic, with the upcoming iPhone OS 3.0 software update, which lets developers embed streaming media into their applications. For Hulu, this means that the advertising could be stuck into the mobile stream and that users would be able to watch videos without leaving the application.
