The once costly Wall Street Journal is now available for free on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The Wall Street Journal was previously made available for free on BlackBerry devices back in August. By going mobile, and having advertisers cover costs instead of making readers pay, the Journal stands to broaden its audience without necessarily jeopardizing the current subscription model. News Corp. CEP Rupert Murdoch flirted with the idea of dropping the online paywall while he was in the midst of acquiring Dow Jones, owner of the Journal, but seems to have dropped the idea, and apparently feels no threat by having the content available at no cost on smartphones.

Remember Connect Four? Four Free is a take on this classic game where you try to align four chips of the same colour. Four Free stays true to the classic Connect Four with the red and black coloured chips. The goal of the game is align four of your chips either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Four Free allows users to play against a computer on three levels of difficulty (easy, medium, or hard). Please note, “hard” is actually hard…very hard. Overall this game is great, easy to use, and most importantly…its FREE (as the name indicates). The game has ads on the very bottom of the playing screen, but only when you are connected to the internet. Check it out on the iTunes App Store!
